The Memphis Tigers picked up their second straight win of the season as they cruised past Tulsa 40-20 at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.  After being held scoreless in the first quarter, the offense started to click as it scored 20 points in the second quarter to head into halftime with a 20-14 lead.  The Tigers came out even stronger in the second half as they scored 13 straight points to increase their lead to 19 points before Tulsa made it a two possession game.  Tigers quarterback Paxton Lynch had a solid outing as he threw for 183 yards on 18 completions but, it was running back Brandon Hayes who stole the show as he ran for 199 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries.  If the Tigers run game gets going against Temple, they should be able to cruise to their sixth game.

The Temple Owls pulled of a major upset last week as they defeated the 23th ranked East Carolina Pirates at Lincoln Financial Field.  The Owls defense forced five fumbles and did an excellent job of keep the Pirates offense at bay. The defense really helped Temple win this game as they offense was shut down by the Pirates as it only managed 135 total yards.  Owls quarterback P.J Walker completed 7 of 19 pass attempts for 70 yards and zero touchdowns. It was a very lucky win for Temple as the Pirates offense gave away the win with the turnovers. The only way the Owls stand a chance in beating the Memphis Tigers is if the offense produces which is very unlikely.

Betting consensus: The Line opened at -7.5 for the Memphis Tigers with 70% of the Public backing them on the road.

Prediction: Memphis Tigers 31, Temple Owls 14

Pick: Memphis Tigers -7.5
