The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets  cruised two their second straight win last week as the defeated the visiting Virginia Cavaliers 35-10 at Bobby Dodd Stadium.  The Yellow Jackets offense ran circles around the Virginia defense as it put up 409 yards of total offense, including 268 yards on the ground.  Running back Synjyn Days ran for 147 yard and one touchdown on 24 carries while quarterback Justin Thomas was only limited to four rushing yards on 13 carries. However, he did some big plays with his arm as he threw for three touchdowns and 141 yards on only seven completions.   The Yellow Jackets ground attack ranks 4th in the nation averaging 319.7 rushing yards per game while the offense averages 37 points per game.

The North Carolina State Wolfpack finally snapped their four game losing streak as they edge the Syracuse Orange 24-17 on the road.  The defense stepped up in this game as it forced three turnovers and kept the Orange offense at bay throughout the game.  The offense also did its part as it capitalized on the turnovers and was efficient on its drives.  Quarterback Jacoby Brissett completed 20 of 32 pass attempts for 186 yards and one touchdown without turning over the ball.  This week, the offense will have to again be efficient on its drives and not turn over the ball as the Yellow Jackets can light up the scoreboard.  The x-factor in this game will be the Wolfpack rush defense which will decided the outcome of the game. If the Yellow Jackets rush for less than 200 yards, NC State picks up the win at home.
