The Los Angeles Clippers somehow found a way to lose their last game against the Brooklyn Nets on the road as they could not hold a 10 point lead with less than a minute left in the final quarter. The Clippers missed multiple free throws while the Nets knocked down consecutive three pointers to escape with the win. The road time led for the majority of this game but, in the end, could not close out their opponent.  After Nets guard Jarret Jack gave his team a 102-100 lead, the Clippers had one last chance to tie the game but, they could not even get a shot off.  The Clippers were simply horrible from the free throw line as they went 8 for 25 in the game .The last minute collapse ruined a big game from center DeAndre Jordan who registered 22 points and 20 rebounds for a monster double-double.  The Clippers will have to improve on those numbers if they want to beat the red hot Cleveland Cavaliers on the road who are clicking on offense.

The Cleveland Cavaliers won their 11th straight game as they blew out the Philadelphia 76ers 97-84 at home. The Cavs are finally starting to heat up and making noise in the Eastern Conference. A major reason for their turnaround has been their defense as they are finally getting stops and forcing turnovers which are leading to fast break opportunities.  Guard Kyrie Irving is also doing a great job of scoring the ball and making plays for his teammates in the open court.  Nevertheless, Kevin Love has still not been able to involve himself in the offense and is usually scoring from beyond the arc.  Then again if it’s not broken, why fix it right?

Betting consensus: The Cleveland Cavaliers are favored by -4.5 at home.

Prediction: Los Angels Clippers 103 , Cleveland Cavaliers 99

Pick: Los Angeles Clippers +4.5
