new-england-patriots-running-out-of-the-tunnelTom Brady and the New England Patriots will open their 2013-2104 season on the road against the Buffalo Bills at  the Orchard Park. Both teams will look to open their season on a positive note. Last year, The New England Patriots lost to the  the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs 28-13. On the other hand, The Buffalo Bills, it was a disappointing season as they failed to compete for the playoffs and won only six games in the season.

Tom Brady has always been the image of the New England Patriots. He  is a leader for this team and he did lead them to a 12-4 record last season and  won the AFC East Division.  Furthermore, the New England Patriots finished 4th in the league in passing yards per game averaging 291. 4 game and  7th in rushing yards per game. However, the offense may take a minor hit as  the Patriots let Wes Welker walk to the Denver Broncos. Wes Welker and Brady were one of the best duo in the league for the past couple of seasons. He was Brady’s number one target and the go to guy. The Patriots were able to sign WR Danny Amendola who was the star receiver for the Saint Louis Rams. It will be interesting to see how both of them play together on the field and if the develop some sort of chemistry. Also, Rob Gronkowski will probably be out till week 3 and that could also be a problem for Brady and the offense. On the defensive, the Patriots made significant moves to help  their pass defense which  3rd worst in the league as the team allowed  271.4 yards in the air. The signings of Safety Adrian Wilson will surely help the defense and bring stability to the Patriots secondary.

The Buffalo Bills  hope that E.J Manuel will be the answer to their offensive problems. The Bills were in top 10 in rushing yards per game at the 6th position averaging 138.6 yards a game but, were 25th in passing yards per game. Ryan Fitzpatrick was descent at the QB Position but, committed a lot of turnovers as he threw  16 interceptions and fumbled the ball 8 times. However, E.J Manuel is a different player who can make big players in the air and on the ground. He is very fast and has a good form which she showed during  his run with the Florida State Seminoles.  However, he may not start the first week as he listed as questionable. Kevin Kolb career might be jeopardy as his latest concussion has really put the player in a tough position.  Most likely, it will be the Jeff Tuel will start against the New England Patriots. The rookie out of Washington State will have the chance to prove himself at the highest state in the game.  However, the pressure might get to him and may commit a lot of turnovers in his first game.  On the defensive end, the Bills have signed players who help improve a defense that  was the worst run defense in the  league as it allowed 145.8 yards on the ground per game.  The Buffalo Bills will hope that Jeff Tuel can play well and get comfortable as soon as possible in the game  because if not , this game can be over by halftime if the Patriots offense stays on the field long.

Final Score: New England Patriots  34, Buffalo Bills 13
