The Philadelphia Flyers were hammered in their last game on the road as they lost 6-3 to the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre.   Early penalties really hurt the Flyers as the Canadiens scored the first three goals of the game on the Power play.  They cut the deficit to one goal before the start of the third period but, the home once again pulled away in the final period.  It was definitely not a solid display from goaltender Ray Emery who finished with 22 saves and a 0.786 save percentage.  The Flyers have to improve on the Penalty kill which ranks 29th in the league, killing only 71.2%.  Their poor play with a player out as led them to allow average of 3.2 goals per game but, the team has been able to compensate it with their offense which averages the same amount of goals per game.

The New York Rangers will be looking to rebound at home after an embarrassing 5-1 loss to the Tampa Bay lightning on Monday at the Madison Square Garden.  The Lightning were faster to the puck and played with a lot more intensity. They outshot the home team 30-16 with only the first period actually close in this category.  The Rangers cut the deficit to 2-1 in the second period after a power play goal from Martin St. Louis but, Tampa Bay scored three unanswered goals to run away with the win.  The Rangers are definitely team that has disappointed so far this season defensively despite having a talented lineup. Fortunately for the Flyers, the Rangers will give Hernrik Lundqvist a break and will start Cameron Talbot.

Betting consensus: 65% of the Public is betting on the New York Rangers at home against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Prediction: New York Rangers 3, Philadelphia Flyers 2

Pick: New York Rangers -134
