The Vancouver Canucks hit the road to play the Edmonton Oilers after an embarrassing 5-0 loss at home to the Arizona Coyotes.  Despite outplaying the Coyotes on the ice and outshooting them 35-23, they just could not find the back of the net.  It was simply an outstanding performance by Coyotes goaltender Devan Dubnyk who made some jay dropping saves, especially in the first period in which the Canucks dominated the time of possession of the puck.  On the other hand, Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller was outright awful as he allowed two easy goals that should have been saved.  Nevertheless, he has proven to be able bounce back strong and should have a solid outing against the Oilers who do not have many scoring weapons on their roster.

The Edmonton Oilers are also coming of a 2-1 loss to the Arizona Coyotes at home.  Just like the Canucks, the Oilers outshot the Coyotes 34-28 and much more scoring chances but, there were denied by goalie Devan Dubnyk who finished with 33 saves and a 0.971 save percentage.   Taylor Hall scored on a power play late in third period to put the Oilers back into the game but, they were unable to send the game into overtime.  The Oilers have lost all three games this season to the Canucks but, they were all closely contested games with the scoring margin being no bigger than two.   Ben Scrivens is likely to be in net for Edmonton as he is currently listed first on the depth chart.

Betting consensus: 70% of the Public is betting on the Canucks to beat the Oilers for the fourth straight time this season.

Prediction: Edmonton Oilers 3, Vancouver Canucks 2

Pick: Edmonton Oilers +122
