10th ranked Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka will meet 5th ranked Tomas Berdych in the fourth round at the 2013 US Open. Wawrinka defeated Marcos Baghdatis in his previous match 6-3 6-2 6-7 7-6 while Berdych cruised past  Frenchmen  Julien Benneteau in straight sets 6-0 6-3 6-2. Both the these players have played well in the tournament and are in great form. They also know each other very well as they have already met 11 times. Wawrinka leads the head to head series 6-5 and won the last match at Madrid this year 6-3 4-6 6-4. Furthermore, they have played against each other 4 times on hard court and Wawrinka won three of them, including the last two matches. However, Berdych has had a much better year on hard court as he is 23- 7 while Wawrinka is 10-5. Berdych also has much more experience on this surface as he has played much more matches on this surface than Stanislas Wawrinka.  Also, Berdych as yet to drop a set in this tournament and he is really playing well.He should be able to even up their head to head series and move on to the quarterfinals at the 2013 US Open in New York.
