OKBET ALLSPORTS : Free agency outfielder Mitch Haniger has been linked by MLB Network’s Jon Morosi to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels, and Texas Rangers.
Only 58 games might be played by Haniger in 2022. He slugged and hit 11 home runs, while driving in 34 runs. 429 total bases.
In light of the team’s decision to not tender Cody Bellinger, the Dodgers may be looking at Mitch Haniger as insurance in case their reported pursuit of Aaron Judge falls through.
With Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, and Will Smith already in the lineup, L.A. doesn’t have much of an offensive void to fill even if they didn’t sign the AL MVP.

Having spent the last five seasons in the American League West with the Seattle Mariners, the Angels and Rangers have a chance to sign probably the market’s second-best right fielder.
In 2022, the Texas Rangers sought to spend their way into contention by acquiring players like Marcus Semien, Corey Seager, Jon Gray, and Martn Pérez. The final record of 68-94 emphasized the need for the front office to improve the team’s roster.
However, the Angels are still waiting for former top prospect Jo Adell to fulfill his Major League Baseball (MLB) promise. Adell is sitting at a.215 batting average after 161 games played.
When at bat, Haniger has been reliable. The 2018 All-Star has established himself in his field. Since breaking into the majors in 2016, he has had an 811 OPS and 123 OPS+.
Although Judge is undeniably the free agency crown gem, his exorbitant salary immediately rules out a large pool of potential suitors. Haniger is a cheap option who more than makes up for it with his performance on the field.
